OPERATIONS

The Melar Operations office is designed to meet the demands of the company's core operations, functioning as a 24-hour support centre. The entrance, two conference rooms, and kitchen are located on one side of the open-concept workspace, which serves as the main area of the office. These spaces can also be utilised as breakout areas or alternative workspaces.

 

The acoustics and lighting of the office were carefully considered to support its use as a round-the-clock workspace. To minimise noise interruptions, we collaborated with a sound engineer to select the best sound-absorbing materials. This includes acoustically treated soffits and partitions, desk partitions, and carpeted flooring. The lighting was also designed with automation in mind to ensure a smooth transition between day and night.

 

Another key aspect of the office's design is its modularity, allowing for a versatile environment that can be quickly reconfigured to meet various workplace needs. The open-plan design eliminates the need for fixed services or furniture. Instead, services are provided through free-standing, plug-and-play electrical poles that have a one-meter displacement range, supplying power to groups of desks that can be easily moved as required.

 

The office features a carefully chosen color scheme of greys, greens, blues, and birch plywood, giving it a contemporary and fresh feel. The final result is a peaceful and welcoming workspace.​​
